4月28日に、研究室へカナダのサスカチュアンと岩手からお客様が来られました。

ナイ―ルさん&カレンさんご夫婦と、上村先生のお三方です。

The guests from Canada and Iwate came to our laboratory.

その中でも、ナイ―ルさんとカレンさんが大学院生向けに授業をされていたので

拝聴しに行きました～！

Especially, who are from Canada hold the class for master course students,

Then we joined it.

冬に光があまり入らないサスカチュアンの地で、

それに対して耐性を持ったレモンやレタスなどを育てているとのことでした。

しかもなんと、、、家の中でです。

The sun light in Saskatchewan during winter is very limited.

But they tried to cultivate fruits and vegetable which have low light tolerance and they did it.

Furthermore, they did it at home inside.

お二人がやっていらっしゃることも、信じられないことですが、

どんどん挑戦しようという、その熱意に圧倒されました。

That made me very excited.

Besides, I was very surprised at their passion to try to do it.

お話を聞いていたら、ためらっている自分に喝を入れられました。(笑)

この気持ちを忘れないうちに前に進もうと思います。

I was given the brave as I heard their presentation.

I am going to go ahead and challenge before I forget passion given by them.

先日、研究室にナイールさんとカレンさん（二人はご夫婦）が来られました。

Last Friday, Mr. Nairu and Mrs. Karen visited our laboratory.

私は英語の能力の低さを痛感しました。

I understood my English ability is still low.

全くと言っていいほど理解できず、常に「えっ？えっ？」と困惑していました。

I could't understand what he said. I was confused.

聞き取る能力をもっと高めていく必要がありそうです。もちろん書くほうもですが、というより英語全般ですね・・・

I need paying effort more and more to promote my English ability.

今回の体験から、刺激を受けることができました。

ますます英語の勉強に励もうと思います。

I received some stimulation from this event.

I will study more and more!
