Wigglers vs Medaka

This morning we found some wigglers (larvae of mosquito) occurred in the water inside the container located near our greenhouse. Some of them are ready for hatching and will be adult mosquitoes which adversely affect persons passed by surrounding area.

In order to prevent that attack, we released some medaka fishes in the container. Now it is the time to see how this kind of biological control works. How beautiful observing predators of aquatic ecosystem do their job…
