Lecture for general citizen of agriculture

Hi, every one! In this last Saturday June 10th 2017 we had special activity. What's that? Yes, we had lecture for citizen about agriculture. The name of lecture is 環境保全型農業の新時代～少ない資源で栽培する次世代農業～ 生態系サービスと農業 一般市民 （６0人）(New era of environment conservation type agriculture ~ Next generation agriculture cultivating with less resources ~ Ecosystem services and general citizens of agriculture (60 people)). All generation we had in that lecture from high school student until old generation. They felt happy and interested with that. This lecture was chaired by Sato sensei and as usual he gave Teaching Assistance that chaired by undergraduate student.

Time to teaching assistance, that divided to 2 session. 1st session is talking about the creatures in our field in front of campus. We shared the role of the creatures, for example Shirai shared information about dango mushi and what the important role of that species in the field. Then, shimura shared the information about neutral insect ゴミムシダマシ and me the last talked about spider and also the role of that. Final 1st session Sato sensei shared the information about food web and completely our talked.

2nd session we were talking about the creatures in the paddy field ecosystem. Shirai talked about yusurika (chironomidae), shimura shared about maru and jumbo tanishi, and me talked about umabiru, all of that we shared the important role for rice paddy field ecosystem. We tried to make presentation interesting and sometime interested for the attendance. Finally, Sato sensei gave the information related to the topic of 2nd session that is about the rice paddy field ecosystem. He gave result and possible mechanism based on the our laboratory research. The last but not the least, when Sato sensei gave opportunity to question, so many people very active and asked quality questions. Very enjoyable and very good atmosphere.
