感動の出会い/ Special encounter

今日は、実験用の土を乾燥させた後、研究室のみんなで生き物調査に行ってきました。
先生からは調査地に着くまで調査内容は秘密！ヒントもありません！とのことだったので、期待とちょっぴりの不安を抱えて車に乗り込む学生たちでした。(笑)
その何十分後かに感動的な出会いが待っているとは、きっと誰も予想していなかったでしょう。
After activity to dry the soil for experiment, we went to the survey for creatures.
Professor Sato didn’t tell us where we go and he gave us no-hints.That made us excited with a little bit uneasiness. No one expected we would experience impressive encounter.
車を降りて歩くこと数分、たくさんのオタマジャクシと遭遇しました。
「まるでドクターフィッシュみたい」と、福田君。
After walking a few minutes, we found so many tad poles.
“It’s like Doctor Fish,” Fukuda said.
さらに歩くと、今度はアカハライモリ
捕ってくれた星君、食べちゃいたいくらいかわいいようです。
Then walking again for a while, we found Japanese fire belly newt.
Hoshi who caught it felt how pretty it is as he can eat it.
またまたずんずん歩いて歩いて…ついに着いたようです、目的地！
一人ひとり網を振ると、新しい出会いがたくさんありました。
We started walking again for some time, finally we arrived our destination.
Then we knew there were so rare creatures after we swung fish net one by one.

テツギョ/ Comet goldfish
自然界では珍しい、金魚とフナの自然交雑種と言われています（＊諸説あり）。
体は銀色に輝き、ひれは金魚のように華やかなのが特徴です。
It is said the natural hybrid both Gold fishes and Crucian carps (There are some opinions.) The body glittered and the caudal fin of a fish was gorgeous like gold fish.
オオコオイムシ&星くん
Ferocious water bug with Hoshi
オオコオイムシはカメムシの仲間であり、オスが卵を背負って保護することから、名前が付けられています。
（※別の種のコオイムシは準絶滅危惧種に登録されています。
H30.05.05訂正）
It is one of the Hemiptera and named after their feature that male individuals carry their eggs on their back.
（※Closely-related species are registered near threatened. The number decreased as using chemicals.)
サンショウウオ/ Salamander
両生類で主に皮膚呼吸をしています。本種は山地の止水に見られるクロサンショウウオです。住む地域や種類によっては、天然記念物に指定され、守られているものもいます。誰しも一度はその名を聞いたことがあるものの、見たことある人は限られているはず。ましてや天然のものなんて…！
It is amphibians and using systems of cutaneous respiration. Some species registered natural treasure and protected in some cases. Everyone has heard that name in the life but the possibility to see is very limited. Needless to say, the number is limited who see that in the case of natural one.
貴重な生き物に出会うことができて、大興奮な私たちでした。
実は、佐藤先生はひょんなことから鉄魚が生息していることを教えてもらったそうです。
小さなきっかけってすごく大事ですね。
We are excited very much to see very rare creatures.
In fact Professor Sato had known only the existence of Comet goldfish from unexpected little things. I know that trivial things bring us huge things.
観察後は、元の場所へ戻しました。
この豊かな環境がずっと続きますように。
After observation, we put them back where we found them.
Wish this abundant nature continue.
