除草はじめweeding begun

Finally our weeding activity begun. We have 4 small rice paddies, each sizes 2a for the experiment to determine the effect of mud snails on paddy field environment. At this moment, no body knows how many time we do in this year, but it would be at least several times. As our weeders have no engines, we could enjoy the sound of nature wile our work.

とうとう本年度の除草作業が始まりました。現時点で何回実施するかは不明ですが、少なくても数回、たぶん５回前後は実施予定です。２アールの小型圃場を合計４使って、マルタニシが水田環境に及ぼす影響について試験します。今年はエンジン無しの除草機をメインに使うことにしました。おかげで静かなもので作業中は自然が織り成す音を存分に楽しむことができました。
