Česká republika　そう、それは遠い国のお話、、、、とお思いのあなた！

なんと、ここ鶴岡へ、チェコからお客様が来てくれました。

Dr. Pavel Kindermann 先生と、Zuzka さんです。

Česká republika that is very far one country....don't you think so?

Guess what? Two special guest came here Tsuruoka from Czech republic.

まずは一緒に菜ぁで昼食を食べました。残念ながら写真を撮り忘れてしまったのですが、

二人とも、有機栽培で作られた材料を使った日本料理を美味しそうに食べてくれました。

Zuzkaさんは玄米が一番おいしいと気に入ってくれたようでした。

At first we ate lunch at Na(Farmer restaurant) together. I am afraid I forgot to take a picture,

Both of them seemed to enjoy Japanese lunch made from organic farming vegetables.

Zuzka san said brown rice was the best of the lunch.

その後、産直や庄内観光物産館へ行きました。

チェコでは高級な干しシイタケを見つけて喜んでくれました。国が変わると価値も変わるんですね...！さらには日本酒や海藻など、日本のものをお土産に買っていってくれました。

After that we went to farmer's store and souvenir shop in Tsuruoka.

They were happy to find dried Shiitake mushrooms which was expensive in Czech.

I was surprised the value was changeable depend on country.They bought sake and sea weed as souvenir.

その後は研究室に戻り、Dr. Pavel先生とZuzkaさんから、チェコのことや南スロバキアにある研究機関に関して説明してもらいました。

After that we returned to Laboratory, Dr. Pavel and Ms. Zuzka gave us lecture about Czech republic and organization for research in South Slovakia,

その中で印象的だったお話を一つ。

南スロバキアにあるSumava 国立公園では、キクイムシによって樹木が枯れてしまっているところがあるそうです。商用的な森であれば、被害が出た木を切ってしまえば良いけれど、国立公園ではそう簡単に切ることができません。そこで、①健全林、②被害林、③被害林の伐採跡で落とし穴トラップ（ピットホールトラップとも呼ばれます）を仕掛けたて確かめてみたそうです。

するとなんと、①と②ではそれほど差がなかったものの、③では数が大幅に減少したそうです。

生態系ってやっぱり面白いなと思ったのと、名前しか聞いたことのない国の人も自分がやったことのある調査をしていることに、驚きました。

I was impressed about the research of Sumava national park.

Some tree damaged by barkbeetle there.In the Forest for commercial, it is allowed to cut down the damaged tree, but for national park, it is difficult normally.So they tried to check how much damage occurred to ecosystem by setting pit fall trap to ①Healthy forest, ②Damaged forest by barkbeetle and ③ the place cut down.

You know what? There were almost no significant differences between ① and ②,

but ③ showed decreased No. creatures and species.I really knew that ecosystem was very complicated and interesting, and was surprised that they had done same research which we did also.
