World Bazaar come back again!
On Sunday, June 9, 2019, me and other Indonesian students participated in World Bazaar event which held at Dewa Shonai International Forum. World Bazaar is an annual event organized by Dewa Shonai International Forum’s staff as a means to introduce the culture of various countries and familiarize between foreigner and Japanese people. There were miscellaneous good foods, music and dance performances from different countries in the world. There were also bazaars and flea market, so many people come and enjoy this event.
ワ-ルドバザールが帰ってきました！
2019年6月9日の日曜日、私たちインドネシアの学生は、出羽荘内国際村で行われたワールドバザールに参加しました。
ｋこれは、出羽荘内国際村のスタッフが準備してくれる一年に一度のイベントで、様々な国の文化が紹介され、国籍を超えて人々の輪を広げることができます。世界の国々の美味しい食べ物や、音楽・舞踊のパフォーマンスを楽しむことができます。また、フリーマーケットも開催されるので、たくさんの人々が集まり会場はにぎわっていました。
On that day, as representatives of Indonesian students, we had the opportunity to perform music performance within angklung. Angklung is one of traditional instrument from West Java. It made from bamboo and it is so easy to play the instrument, just shake the instrument to the right and to the left. We performed 3 kinds of song from Indonesia and Japan. Indonesian song is “Manuk Dadali” and “Tanah Airku” while Japanese song is “Tegami”. It took several days of practice for us to be able to perform as much as we could.
私たちインドネシアの学生は、アンクルンという楽器を使った演奏を行うことができました。アンクルンは、インドネシアの西ジャワ地方の伝統的な楽器の一つです。竹で作られており、音を出すためには左右に振るだけという簡単な楽器です。私たちは、インドネシアと日本の3曲を演奏しました。インドネシアの曲は「Manuk Dadali」と「Tanah Airku」で、日本の曲は「手紙」です。演奏するために、練習を重ねました。
A few minutes before we performed, Dian and I were very surprised because one of the lab members was present and wanted to watch our performance. She was Shimura-san! Thank you very much for taking the time to attend World Bazaar this time. We were very happy at that time.
演奏の始まるほんの僅か前に、ディアンと私にとって、驚くことがありました。私たちの研究室のメンバーが、その場所に来て演奏を見に来てくれたのです。ワールドバザールに来るために時間を取ってくれて、本当にありがとう。とっても嬉しかったよ。
After attending the event, then I thought for a moment and realized that the world is wide with a lot of knowledges in it meanwhile me so far still poor in knowledge, thinking that I would get nothing if I just stayed and going nowhere. The diversity that I witnessed is not a barrier for us to interact and socialize with the people around us, it is precisely the differences that unite us, make more open-minded, easier to respect others, and last but not least to survive and enjoy the colorful life.
このイベントに参加して、世界は多くの知見にあふれていること、そして私には知らない世界がたくさんあることに気づかされました。そしてもし一つの場所にとどまっていれば、何も得ることができないことを学びました。私が目撃した多様性は、決して私たちが関係を深め社会を形成するための障壁ではなく、私たちが心を開き一つとなり、お互いを尊敬できるようにし、そして何よりも色とりどりの人生を生き抜き楽しむための違いである、と私は思います。
