Junsai, a local vege, in Akita

We went to Akita to meet Dr Abe, studyng Junsai, a local Vegetable in Akita. Enjoyed, so much.

The boat!! is one my dream to ship with this small boat in Junsai field.

So, one my dream came true on that day, 30th of AUG, 2019.

The field had been used for Dr Abe study, only one scientist who study Junsai, a local Vegetable in Akita. His major is insect ecology, such as study of the pest of Junsai, moss larva.

We meet another specialist, the lady, who harvest 40kg / day, which is excellent, with use of such special equipment on her finger.

The mud snails here were so big, and people here told us that there was big culture of eating snails at that time.

But all now lost.

The snails and others, such biodiversity was kept well in Akita, and the Junsai is very good with Soba noodle.

I thank you, Dr Abe, for your kind guidance of Junsai field, and we much enjoy collection of organism in many places, even in some campus of Akita prefectural university.
