We try to know ecosystem

　The seminar starts from this week!

　The lab member including new members looks like nervous.

　I am presenter this seminar. The theme is the effect of Golden Apple snail to wetland ecosystem.

　This species is so ferocious and reproductive. They devour macrophyte in wetland soon. Then the water become turbid by occurring algae bloom.

　But they invade to other ecosystem, and expand. I saw the farmer killed this snails by pesticide. However, we start to think about how to conserve nature. The world hope that. So like using chemical affect not only target but others is passive.

　We have such ideas not excluding, use well this snail for our life. Do you know using for weeding this one? This is new idea compare with several decades ago. To come true that, we have to understand their function and ecology.

今週からゼミが始まりました！

　新たなメンバーも加わりみんなどことなく緊張している様子（に感じました）

　プレゼンターは私です。テーマはジャンボタニシが湿地の生態系に及ぼす影響です。

　この巻貝は非常に獰猛かつ繁殖力が旺盛です。そのため、多様な植物はあっという間に食い荒らされてしまいます。そして、藻類が大量に発生し水は濁る。

　ただ厄介なことにあらゆる生態系に侵入し、拡大を続けています。べトナムに以前いったときは殺虫剤を使って防除していました。しかし、近年は自然の保全が求められています。そのため、他の生き物にも害が及ぶ防除法の使用は消極的になっています。

　こういった生物を除去するのではなく、うまく利用する、共生するという考え方もあるようです。ジャンボタニシによる雑草防除を聞いたことはありませんか？新しい農業って感じですよね。そのためには生物の機能や生態を理解しなければなりません。
