Rearing Water lily Aphid (Rhopalosiphum nymphaeae)
One more experience increased when I heard aphid in the animal ecology laboratory of Yamagata University, Japan. this is the first time I have raised aphids. Previously I had raised several insects such as green and yellow mantis (Sphodromantis lineola) and Creobroter gemmatus mantis in Indonesia. Aphids have several species with many hosts. However, this time I raised Water lily Aphid, which could act as a controller for water weeds in the rice fields.
I am very proud of that, because there aren't many publications about it. I became motivated to do many things here. One day I have the desire to make a special collection of insect houses. Where I will collect some rare insects, endemic insects and insects as natural enemies.
