トビタテ留学ジャパン 【Padjadjaran大学滞在日記】

私はすでにバンドンを離れ、ジョグジャカルタにいます。遅くなりましたが、少しずつインドネシアの様子を報告したいと思います。 I already left from Bundang, stay in Yogyakarta now. Although it was late, I will report how Indonesian life.

○元気なキャンパス Fine campus

Padjadjaran大学は常に笑い声や話し声が聞こえます。顔見知りの学生が多く、すれ違うとHi!!!と気軽にあいさつします。それを真似てみたりもしました(笑)

We can hear the laughing and talking in campus always. Almost students know each other, greeting freely “Hi!!!” when passed. I also tried to imitate.

とにかく明るくパワフルです。日本でいうサークルやクラブなどに多くの人が在籍しており、1日中そこで過ごす人がいました。家にも帰らずそこに泊まるんですって。質問したところ、1日5時間以上友人と過ごす人が大半でした。自分は2時間でとても長い方です、全然違います。また、週末になるとイベントらしきものが開催され、音楽やスポーツで盛り上がっていました。山形大学ではあまりない光景に、この大学の大きさと学生のモチベーションの高さを感じました。実際、みんな体力はすごくありました。寝ずに自分の調査に同行する人もいましたし、、、

They are so powerful. Everyone belong some organization, like circle or club in Japan, sometime stay whole a day. Some of them stay overnight in there. In the interview, it found over half of students stay over 5 hours with friends in a day. I just take two hours, it is also too long for me…so different. And, they hold some event such as sports or music in weekend. I couldn’t see that in Yamagata university, so I felt UMPAD is so big and students have high motivation. In fact, they have stamina. My friends follow my research without sleep…

　私が大好きだったのがなんといっても食堂です。多様な料理に加えて、そのすべてが安い。時折、お腹を壊していたので、料理は赤いものを避け、優しそうな色をしたものを好んで食べていました。南国ならではの100%フルーツジュースも毎日飲めます。マンゴー、グゥアバ、アボカド、オレンジがあり、自分はグゥアバがお気に入りでした。食堂のおばさん的なひとも、日本人と知って頑張って英語を話そうとしてくれました。あまり会話できませんでしたが、その食堂が好きでした。

I loved the cafeteria in campus. There is so many kinds of dished, in addition, so cheap. In some occasion, I have trouble in my stomach. I avoid to eat red color food, choose more gentle color. We can drink 100% fruit juice every day unique in Indonesia. There are Mango, Guava, Avocado, Orange. My favorite is Guava. The grandma in cafeteria strive to talk with me by English. But I cannot talk fluently, I loved the place.

○日本語講義に参加 Joining Japanese Class

なんでも来年の1月に熊本にインターンする学生がいるとのことで、日本語チューターを任せていただくことになりました。とても光栄なことです。講義では簡単な挨拶を中心に、日本の文化やマナーを教えました。参加者の皆さんは集中して受講してくれ、とてもありがたかったです。私自身も不安な部分を抱えつつだったので。

Some students come to Kumamoto prefecture in Japan next January, so I joined as a tutor in class. It’s my pleasure. In the class, I taught mainly simple conversation and culture, manner. The participants concentrate on my presentation, it’s so help me. Because I am anxious little…

インターン先は農家さんでインドネシア語を話せる方が1人いらっしゃるようです。初めて日本に行くため不安な方もいるとは思いますが、大丈夫だと伝えました。インドネシアに来て日本は過ごしやすい国と改めて感じます。特に都市部であれば、英語の表示や英語を話せる人もいます。交通も安全で、食べ物も基本的には問題ありません。ぜひ、楽しむことも忘れず日本で頑張ってほしいですね。

In the place where they intern have a person who can speak Bahasa Indonesia. If feel nervous to go Japan first time, I think it’s no problem. I really feel Japan is easy to live than Indonesia. Especially in city, the sign is written by English and there is people can speak English. The traffic is safe, the food also no problem. I wish they don’t forget to working with enjoy Japan.

○感謝しきれない研究室の方々 Laboratories who cannot thank enough

11月はPadjadjaran大学のDr.Viraの研究室にお邪魔させて頂きました。日本とは異なり、様々な学生が研究室を訪れます。特にDr.Viraは学生の対応や出張、会議など大忙しです。忙しい中でも、私の精神面を気遣い、「Enjoyね！」と優しく声をかけてくださいました。調査の手配も無理をお願いしているにもかかわらず、快く承諾していただきました。まるで、“母”のような存在だと学生が冗談交じりで話していましたが、まったくその通りだと思いました。本当にありがとうございました。

　I stayed in Dr. Vira’s laboratory in Padjadjaran University in November. So many students visit in lab. Different with Japan. Dr. Vira is so busy like answering question of students, business trip, meeting. Even in busy days, she told me “Just enjoy!”. It’s really help my mind keep good. My research sometime difficult doing, but she accepted. The students in lab. Said she is our mother, I think so after stay in there. I appreciate her a lot help…

　そして、インドネシア滞在中、私を助けてくれたのがSandiさんをはじめとする学生です。インドネシア到着直後、Visaの取得関係でJakartaに滞在していました。その時から、彼は私に同行してくれました。通訳や手続きの処理、食事の手配など、こちらは申し訳ない気持ちになるほどです。もちろん、それ以降も彼無しでは生活が考えられません。他にもAdit、Tiara、Kamila、Fitri、Risky、Hasnan、Arifさんなど多くの人が思い浮かびます。時折、話しかけてくれたり、励ましてくれたり、ジョークを言ってくれたり、、、自然と顔がにやけてしまいます(笑)

And Mr. Sandi and other students also help me so much in Indonesia. When I arrive at Jakarta, I need to process my Visa there. From that time, he accompany with me to help. He did translator, process Visa, manage my food as I feel so sorry to him. Of course, after stay in Jakarta I cannot live in Indonesia without him. Others…Mr. Adit, Ms. Tiara, Ms. Kamila, Ms. Fitri, Mr. Risky, Mr. Hasnan, Mr. Arif…so many help to me. Sometime they talk with me or encourage me, joking…I become smile just remembering.
