Too early spring is coming 早すぎる春の到来

Cherry blossom is blooming! Previously (9, Jan 2020), Sagae published “Abnormal winter” in the blog. This abnormal winter has already affected cherry blossom. If it was a common year, today the ground should have been covered by snow and very cold. The cherry flower should be dormant buds for overwintering. And it starts to bloom in early April usually. But, today I found the cherry tree in a pot, and there are flowers. It is an unbelievable thing in my 20 years' life. For cherry blossom, the duration of dormant but is very important. If it is not satisfied, it will occur incomplete and uneven blooming. Seeing cherry blossom is traditional and important in Japan. There are many famous place of cherry blossom in Japan and now they become a very essential tourist resource due to visitors not only from domestic but also from foreign countries. I'm afraid that the effect of insufficient blooming. Some fruit trees also can estimate that they have an incomplete and uneven blooming. It will disturb pollinating and be serious damage. It is certain that wintertime has heavy snow or strict coldness. But even if it is hard for our life, it is very important in the agricultural economy. In the Japanese old seasonal calendar, next week is the start of spring. It feels like time travel.

桜がもう咲いています！

以前寒河江君が“Abnromal winter”という記事をブログに掲載していました。異常な冬はすでに桜の開花に影響を与えています。例年通りであれば、外は雪に覆われ極寒の状況でしょう。桜は休眠芽で越冬します。開花は4月頃に始まります。しかし、私は今日鉢に植えられた桜、すでに開花した状態で見つけました。人生20年近くを生きてきて初めてのことで信じられませんでした。桜の開花には休眠は非常に重要です。それが不十分だと、不完全あるいは開花しないことさえあります。花見は日本で伝統的な行事の一つです。日本にはいくつか名所があり、それは国内だけなく国外からの観光客を呼び込むための観光資源になっています。私は不完全な開花を恐れています。果樹も同様の現象が起こりうります。それは訪花昆虫にも深刻な影響を及ぼします。冬に厳しい寒さと積雪に見舞われるのは確かです。しかし、それも生活の一部であり農業経済にも重要です。

日本の古いseasonal calendarには、来週から春とありました。一種のタイムトラベルを感じました。
