I love people in Tsuruoka

I found the similarity between my hometown (Yogyakarta city) and Tsuruoka is the kindness of the people. Japanese people are friendly and kind. Especially the old Japanese people, they are very kind-hearted and humble. They always smile and give a greeting such as “ohayou gozaimasu” or “koniciwa”. That is very good. Their smile gives me some positive energy.

I have an unforgettable experience at the small shop near my house. I could find many kinds of vegetables and fruits in the shop. The seller is an old man and I called him “ojisan”. After I chose little pieces of banana, I prepared an amount of money to give to the seller, but he refused. I am confused about why he rejected my money and said that no need to pay the banana. Wow, I am surprised. I am glad, I got a free banana at the first time I came to the shop.
