カイゴロモ Pseudocladophora conchopheria

私は子供のころから水の生物が大好きだ。特にここ庄内は海も近く、時間を見つけては海で仕事？をすることも多い。濡れたコケは滑りやすい。おっかなびっくり歩いてタイドプールにたどり着き、何かいないかと覗き込む。そんな中、最近はカイゴロモにひとしおの興味を持っている。

カイゴロモはいわゆる藻で、海辺で見つけた巻貝の表面が緑色になっていたら、きっとそれだろう。巻貝は数多くあれど、緑色の巻貝はスガイ（酢貝、別に酸っぱくはない）だけ。スガイは丸くごろっとして、誰もが思い浮かぶ巻貝のイメージどおりの形状をしている。

I like aquatic animals since I was a kid in a local small village. Here in Shonai faces seashore in Japan sea, and I often go to the sea for my life work, studying aquatic animals. Wet rocks are occasionally very slippery and I walk carefully to a tide pool and look into. In these days, my great concern is Pseudocladophora conchopheria. We call it Kai-goromo in Japanese, meaning snail clothing in some old expressions. Kai-goromo is a sort of algae, which attaches on snail shell only, and the snail which has kai-goromo must be Lunella coreensis, Su-gai in Japanese.
