Our Paddy

水田での活動がはじまります。動物生態研究室は4枚の水田を持っています。水田での仕事が始まるとかなり忙しい日々になります。特に除草が一番大変です。毎日のように無数に生えるコナギの芽を一つ一つ指で摘む作業が待っています。

去年はこの水田でマルタニシが水田に与える影響というテーマで研究室単位の実験調査を行いました。

今年は自分がこの水田で卒論研究を行います。テーマはアオミドロです。

この写真は耕起を行った直後の水田です。そのうち水が張られます。田植えは5/26に計画されています。今年も水田に生き物が集まってくるのが非常に楽しみです。

We will start the paddy activity. We animal ecology laboratory has 4 paddies each about 7 × 20ｍ. We will become quite busy. Because there are some activities related to paddy. Especially weeding activity is the hardest one. We have to weed manually. So we removed really many Konagi plants sprout with fingers. Last year we anieco lab did the experiment in this paddy. It was "How mud snail appearance effect to paddy" like that. This year I will do my experiment and research about algae and organisms. This pic is after plowing. After that introduce water by irrigation. And transplanting will be doing 5/26. I am looking forward to it, the organism will be appearing also.
