A hard rain

It rained heavily in the Tohoku region today. We thought the rainy season was about to end, but suddenly there was a heavy downpour and it was unexpected. In Tsuruoka, it rained up to 43mm per hour. The warning level has been raised to the maximum for the area including the campus and we have been notified by the university to go home. We were going to do some research in the paddy field today, but we got held up unexpectedly. It was raining like an overturned bucket, so of course we were not able to do our research. We would like to make up for the delay by going to the survey as it seems to settle down from tomorrow.

今日は東北で大雨が降りました。 梅雨明け間近と思っていたところに突然の豪雨で予想外の展開です。 鶴岡では最大一時間当たり43mm降りました。 キャンパスを含むエリアの警報レベルが最大まで引き上げられ大学から自宅に帰るよう通達が届きました。 今日水田で調査を行う予定でいたので思わぬ足止めをくらったところです。 所謂バケツをひっくり返したような雨で当然調査どころではなかったですね。 明日からは落ち着くようなので調査に行き、なんとか遅れを取り戻したいです。
