Spider : great insect

私の自宅では時折クモを見かけます。つい先日もリビングでクモが歩いているのを目撃しました。みなさんはクモを見た時どのように感じるでしょうか。気持ち悪い、汚いと感じる人も少なくないでしょう。しかし多くのクモは人間に害を及ぼさず、それどころか多くの人が嫌悪しているコバエや種によってはゴキブリも退治してくれる素晴らしい生き物なのです。私は今の自宅に１年半は住んでいますが、今までコバエなどの虫を見かけたことがほとんどありませんし、ゴキブリは一度も見たことがありません。掃除などの際に部屋の隅々まで探した時もクモ以外の虫は1匹も見つかりませんでした。おそらくクモ達が他の虫達を捕食してくれているのでしょう。以前に浴室でハエトリグモの仲間と思われるクモを見つけました。誤ってつぶしてしまったら良くないので、逃がそうと思い指にのっけてみました。そうするとクモは少し怖がったように身を縮めてじっとしていました。その姿は実に可愛いらしいものでした。クモは基本的に人に対しては攻撃的ではありませんし、良く観察してみるととても可愛らしい見た目と動きをしています。多くの人がクモを好きになってくれることを願っています。

I sometimes see a spider in my house. The other day, I saw a spider walking in a living room. What do you think when you see a spider? Not a few people feel uncomfortable. But most spiders are not harmful for human. And they get rid of small household flies and cockroaches. I have lived in this house for one year and a half. I hardly see small household flies and have never seen cockroaches while I live in this house. I previously looked in every corner. But I did not see any insect except for spider in my house. Probably, spiders live in my house eat other insects. I previously saw a spider like jumping spider in my bathroom. And I put that spider on my finger to let it go. Then the spider looked scared a little, shrank and stayed still. That appearance was very cute. Spiders fundamentally are not aggressive to people and their appearance and movement are very cute if you observe carefully. I hope more people like spiders.
